Welcome to Tawamba's little trap Chess_Yakuza
It's end time for my another chess article and here it is! Amateur chess player with Lichess nickname Tawamba I mean I played rapid 10 minute long game against Chess Yakuza. I have Lichess rapid game rating of 1840 and he has 1874 so he's little better. Game didn't start like I wanted and thanks to disturbing during the game I didn't opened well and then he decided to play Qa5. My Queen was on d1 and I noticed I will not be able to defend this double pawn on c3 and decided to make a little trap. Look at this and think can you remove white Pawn on c3 in next move with Queen ? I don't think so! Oponent decided to make Kf8 castle and I did Kg2 castle too knowing d2 square is protected by Knight and that if he removes Pawn on c3 I will do Bd2 and his Queen doesn't have square to go! He didn't notice trap and entered into it and after Bd2 surrendered the game! Oh Chess_Yakuza welcome to Tawamba's little trap! Welcome my lady Queen! LOL! Look I know he could easily do Bf3 and after Bf3 do Qxc3 but I could at least do Qb7. He could also do Ne4 and then it would be real trouble for me. I mean I played nothing and celebrated totally non deserved victory, but it's good to win. Here is entire game: https://lichess.org/oHR1kZHUBpUS This was more interesting game against better opponent like Chess20240505 is. He has Lichess rating of 1924, but he switched off like Spurs in Brighton in second half and moved g3 for some reason which lead to direct check mate in few moves. He probably wanted to escape with King into safety, but he didn't see what's coming. Can you find the best move for black after white g3 ? Tawamba founded it out! Nice and clean indefensible attack! Qe2+! Check my man! He could only do Kg1 or Kg1 and his last wish was Kg1 and he got Qf2 check mate! You can watch entire game on link belloow: https://lichess.org/F0Vrfimmyyw7 Don't get me wrong I am amateur player I know it, I play it just for fun. Here is interesting game I've lost on time because opponent Divya wouldn't agree on draw despite she had only Knight and couldn't win it. I feel like I could get more from this game. Here is interesting position where I might move King upper and try to promote Pawn with sacrifice of Bishop, but my level of thinking is only 2-3 moves in advance so I need to ask you. What do you think is the best move for black here and do you think black could win this game somehow ? And no that was not Divya you think she is, that was not Inidan female chess champion on the other side, but someone else with Lichess rating just bellow 1900! You can watch entire game here: https://lichess.org/2z9kpY0YdcUh Let's hope Tawamba will climb in rating closer to 1900 in near by future! Thanks for reading! You can show your skill and knowledge by installing Lichess app and play some games too!
